?? Price volatility for materials on nationwide projects. ?? Constantly fronting material payments 12 to 16 weeks before they arrived onsite. ?? Inflexible supplier terms. Sound familiar??This was the reality StruktureOne founders Michael Herndon and Jarred Craddock faced every day. The steel subcontractor always had their cash tied up in material payments, making it difficult for them to confidently take on larger projects. That was before an industry peer connected them with Billd, who provided a financial solution that was better aligned with StruktureOne's timelines. “It made our lives a lot easier. We were able to better manage?cash flow on certain jobs.” By using Billd, StruktureOne gained the financial flexibility to confidently bid on larger projects, empowering them to build relationships with new GCs. "Having Billd in our corner made us more bullish on chasing projects.” To learn more about StruktureOne and other ways Billd has created solutions for our customers, visit the link in the comments section.

Thank you to our friends at Billd for volunteering at yesterday's Texas Capitol Build 2025 during the 89th session of the Texas Legislature! BILLD staff worked alongside Dallas Habitat, Austin Habitat for Humanity and 100 volunteers from all over the state to help build the walls of Lisa Crawford's home, currently under construction in Brenham, TX. Thanks to these volunteers, Lisa and her two children will soon have a home of their own. And another big shout out to BILLD for hosting Dallas and Austin Habitat for a fantastic dinner at ATX Cocina during our visit to Austin this week! #TXLege #HabitatVolunteers

Using a variety of working capital options to fund projects and cover operational expenses is an important part of creating a capital strategy. However, delayed payments increase the costs?associated with these options—and increase your overall cost of capital. When costs increase, your margins decrease. That's why knowing the average DSO per client is an important first step in protecting your profits. In a recent meetup, construction consultant and fractional CFO Josh Luebker explained how subcontractors can use their average DSO per client to calculate the cost of working capital per GC. This can help you determine how much you should add to your bids to account for this cost and protect your margins. To see these calculations in action, watch the full recap available at the link below.
