We’re thrilled to unveil our latest collaboration with Nulab on a new accessory that upgrades their portable NIR spectrometry device for real-time fruit quality assessment. ?? What is it for? This newly developed white component is tailored to fit a variety of fruit shapes, especially avocados! It allows farmers and producers to measure the ripeness and quality of their fruit directly in the field, supporting faster, more accurate harvesting decisions. ?? How did we bring it to life? From design to engineering and finally to silicone molding, our team at bigD crafted this component to seamlessly adapt to different fruit profiles. Once prototypes were validated, we partnered with Wehl & Partner Ibérica Rapid Prototyping for SLS sintering and silicone casting in larger series.
