Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to partner with the U.S. Travel Association and chair the Commission on Seamless and Secure Travel.?The Commission was comprised of government and industry experts, and I am pleased to announce availability of our February 2025 Travel Report: “A Vision for a World-Class Travel System in America.”
Soon, the U.S. will welcome the world for some of the largest international sporting events— the 2026 World Cup, 2028 Summer Olympics, and Paralympic Games. These moments of global connection bring millions of visitors to our airports, stadiums, and cities, making it critical that we deploy innovative technologies to ensure security, efficiency, and a seamless traveler experience.
As we prepare for this unprecedented influx of international travelers, our Commission strongly advocates for the federal government to accelerate the adoption of security technologies, such as #biometrics. By leveraging advanced identity verification, we can enhance border security, streamline airport processes, and protect passenger privacy—all while ensuring fans spend less time in lines and more time enjoying the events that bring us together.
