We are proud to support New York City's Empire Wind 1 project!
RMA’s Big Apple Group team was awarded a contract to support the Empire Wind 1 Project at South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT). SBMT, located between 29th and 39th street in Brooklyn, New York City, is part of a massive modernization project that will be completed in two phases and will serve as an operations base for offshore Wind Turbines. When complete, the project will produce 2.1 GW of renewable energy with the potential to power up to 1 million New York homes by delivering clean, affordable, renewable energy. The Big Apple team will be responsible for providing more than 50 pieces of geotechnical instrumentation, settlement monitoring, vibration monitoring, crack monitoring, and photo documenting services to ensure that the deconstruction and construction work on the project does not adversely affect any surrounding structures.
