BMA produces products for customers in space, aerospace, maritime, energy, and heavy equipment industries. BMA has established a strong performance record for developing first articles from customer requirements to then produce quantities of the part. BMA qualifies facility, equipment, personnel, materials, process and products to standards/specifications for each customer or application. BMA develops a Technical Data Package (TDP) to accompany each part for engineering assurance and product quality. We are growing to a factory of 100 machines to produce a wide range of products from digital inventory for our prepared customers.

This topology optimized airframe structure segment is thin wall, hollow aluminum. Interior and exterior surfaces are finish machined. Complete machining not only provides lightweight aero structure, but it also improves the lifetime of the product. The S-N curve illustrates that without machining a 20 ksi cyclic load results in failure after ~105 thousand cycles. The first prototype 5 in. diameter artillery round we made was produced in 24 hrs using arc-DED & CNC lathe. Scaling to production, one machine pair could produce 6 units per day. A factory of 100 machines producing 600 units per day. Simple changeover for different sizes. Strategic manufacturing for surge production.
