Today and every day we are grateful for your sacrifice.

"It's the economy, stupid." Anyone remember this? In 1992, Jim Carville - Bill Clinton's campaign strategist - said this about what that election would come down to...what mattered. The phrase is meaningful, too, in a different context than Carville might have imagined. On this final day of #NationalCoopMonth, I give big "hats off" and thank you to all the member-led organizations leading to ensure our #economy works for those at their core of the co-op's purpose and the communities they serve, big and small. For them, "It's the economy, stupid." has a clear meaning. To our nation's ag co-ops, credit unions, mutual insurance companies, consumer co-ops, utility co-ops, retail co-ops, worker and employee co-ops and co-ops in all forms - our economy is stronger because of you!

It's National 4-H Week and we are donating to local 4-H groups all week long! When our customers stop and fuel up at any of our Big Horn Co-op locations we are donating 3￠ per each gallon sold to local 4-H kids! If you are in our area this week make sure to stop in and fuel up for 4-H!

October is National Co-op month and we wanted to share a bit of our history.? Big Horn Co-op was formed in 1923 by local farmers in Basin, WY. The purpose of the cooperative was to market dry edible beans, yellow blossom clover, and turkeys.? Now, 101 years later, we have 6 retail locations along with agronomy services and energy products! We have come a long way and are excited to see where the next years take us and our customers.

Sugar beet harvest is beginning and we want to share a friendly reminder to carry some extra patience and pay extra attention for the farm equipment that will be traveling on roads. These producers are our neighbors and this is their livelihood. Remember to give farmers a "brake" regardless of the season!

This week is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated energy drivers and other professionals who ensure that Big Horn Co-op stays supplied and our communities are fueled. Thank you for keeping us moving forward.
