Just look at the golf course maintenance team and their hard work covering the greens on both The Covey and The Antler golf courses. This is by no means an easy undertaking. Great work team! We are thankful for the overwhelming support from our Members over the past four years as we designed, broke ground, built and opened The Covey. Congratulations to our very own Cory Kruse who earned titles in the recent 2024 National Championship that included both 5 stand National Champion and Fitasc National Champion! Additional titles include All Around Shotgun Nationals 3rd, American Field Sporting Nationals 3rd, Texas 5-Man State Team Nationals 2nd and Main Event ProClass 8th. Not to mention that earlier this year, Cory was the overall champion for the 8th time in the Texas State Championship. On behalf of the Big Easy Ranch team and membership, we are so proud of Cory and excited for his continued success!

Last week, the Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out Board Members, along with Big Easy Ranch owner Billy Brown and staff, proudly presented a check for $500,000 to MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Immunology with funds raised solely from its Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out held this past spring. Sadly, cancer affects each one of us or someone we know and love. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the world’s most respected cancer centers devoted exclusively to patient care, research, education and prevention. MD Anderson provides groundbreaking research and innovative clinical care, offering leading-edge cancer therapies years before they become standard in the community. We could not think of a better recipient for this fundraising effort! The Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out launched in 2018 and has raised more than $1.8 million for MD Anderson Cancer Center. This highly regarded fundraising event is exclusive to Big Easy Ranch members & their guests with a 18-hole golf tournament on The Covey and a 10-station sporting clay tournament along with a raffle, wine dinner and live auction.
