The numbers are in! We’re excited to share that we raised an incredible $715,000 at our Big Futures Gala last Friday! These funds will support the increasing need for our mentoring services, which are provided at no cost to the children and families in our programs. ?? ?? What a night! ???? Last Friday, 283 amazing guests came to the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco to support our program and celebrate the bright futures ahead for Bay Area youth. Some highlights of the night include our Alumni Little and Buffalo Bills Running Back, Ray Davis, speaking on the incredible impact of his Big, Patrick, our Little Camila sharing the story of her 10+ year Match with her Big, Amanda, and celebrating our Honored Matches of the Year, Reign and Misty and Tim and Jeremy. We’re thrilled to announce that our gala exceeded our goal of $700,000! As #AmeriCorpsWeek wraps up, we’d like to recognize another former AmeriCorps member at BBBSBA for making a positive impact every day through their work. Shiel Basuroy, our new Marketing Coordinator, was a 2023-24 Pro Bono Justice and Development & Communications VISTA at OneJustice. During his service term, he enhanced communication strategies that connected and empowered the legal aid community. He streamlined outreach through integrated marketing communications, graphic design, and data analysis to support impactful legal aid programs. The skills he drew from the experience have translated to his work with BBBSBA, supporting impactful marketing efforts through strategic outreach.
