Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC

On November 9th, over 300 Bigs and Littles took the field at MetLife Stadium for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC’s 27th annual Gridiron Games! The Bigs and Littles learned cheers and participated in football games and drills coached by former New York Football Giants and New York Jets stars. Attending the event was Billy Taylor, Sean Landeta, Jay Alford and Jonathan Castillas of the New York Giants and Fred Baxter and coach Collette Smith from the New York Jets. The Bigs and Littles were also treated to a special tour of the New York Giants Museum, magic and yo-yo tricks and jewelry making. Finally, following lunch in one of the Stadium’s VIP lounges, the former NFL players spoke to the Littles about the importance of education, making positive choices in their daily lives and working hard to achieve their dreams. The day ended with a touch football competition on the Stadium field between some of NYC's top law firms and financial institutions.?In a close game, Goldman Sachs edged out Deutsche Bank to take home the coveted Gridiron Games trophy!
