Just had an incredibly touching moment after watching Wolverine and Deadpool with my 12-year-old mentee through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. As I dropped him off, he looked at me and said, "Hey, I want you to know I appreciate you." Volunteering as a mentor has never felt like service with BBBS, when I am met with such heartfelt gratitude from someone so emotionally intelligent for his age. It's moments like these that create so much value in my life that are impossible to quantify. ?? ??

Our future is bright! It was a JOY to spend time with our partners, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and Accenture sharing our career journeys with young people from across Chicago. The high school students also had the opportunity to create a digital ad using AI for one of our Ulta Beauty Collection items - very cool! This was a fun and meaningful example of the Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation's efforts to support the well-being of teens. Deepest thanks to Dave Dytko, Diane Altmix, Marisch Perera, Jeremy C. Foster, David Gee and the entire Accenture team for bringing this event to life! Over the weekend Big Brother Kyle attempted to etch BBBSChi into the Guinness World Records Book. While he didn't quite break the record for Longest Marathon on a Swing, we still had a great time Swinging Back Into the School Year with our Bigs and Families! We gave out backpacks and school supplies courtesy of our generous partners including our friends at Fashion Outlets of Chicago LLC, worked on arts and crafts, and cheered on Kyle as he swung for glory. Thanks to Kyle for raising funds and awareness for our mentoring programs and to all of our amazing Bigs who go above and beyond for their Littles every day. You can cheer Kyle on at his next marathon, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon next month as he and the entire BBBSChi Marathon Team run to raise money for mentoring matches across Chicagoland.
