In October, Cboe BIDS Canada again set records for total shares traded (84,005,400) and ADV (3,818,430), which represents a 106% increase in volume year-over-year. Also of note, Cboe BIDS Canada will be rolling out its “Overtime” feature to Canadian accounts over the coming weeks. Overtime is an optional functionality allowing buy-side firms to capture more residual liquidity around a block print by converting the residual of any firmed-up conditional to a “firm” passive order that can match with contra-side firm orders (both passive and active) on MATCHNow.
