The biblioMódulo, a modular solution, features 1,000 physical books, 5,000 digital titles, self-service kiosks, and internet-connected computers—all in a sustainable, fully accessible design. The first of eight biblioMódulos, supported by Prefeitura Municipal de Maricá, is now open in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro, providing students with a modern space for learning, technology, and inspiration. I was delighted to attend Tubbercurry Community library yesterday afternoon to celebrate 10 years of MOL at Sligo County Library. Great recognition of the impact of the Community library and its extended hours and facilities from Cllr Joe Queenan, Cathaoirleach of Ballymote-Tubbercurry Municipal District and Donal Tinney, Sligo County Librarian. Congratulations to Sligo County Library on this milestone and thanks to Ultan McNasser, Stephen Healy and @SarahKelly for having me at the event. Bibliotheca has been at the forefront of this technology in Ireland and have approximately 50 Open + access sites on the island. Here’s to the next 10 years of My Open Library in Ireland.

Scott County Library in Minnesota just launched its sixth and final open+ site at Prior Lake Library! ? This unique location is in a shared government building with the library and "Club Prior," a 55+ center for events, wellness, and community connections. Dual entry panels for the building and library give patrons more opportunities to connect and explore. ? Bibliotheca presented Library Director Jennifer Schultz and Kristy Rieger with a Showcase Library plaque to celebrate it. Congratulations to Scott County Library for expanding community access and redefining what a library can be! ??
