Another win for our region! ?? Last week, we participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Walker County Development Authority with Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Reed (R-Jasper), State Representative Matt Woods (R-Jasper) and State Representative Tim Wadsworth (R-Arley). ?? This site is expected to be the new home of the Heritage Industrial Park. To make this possible, Walker County received two grants from the Made in Alabama - Alabama Department of Commerce Site Evaluation Economic Development Strategy (SEEDS) Program for this +/- 200-acre site near Dora, which is a short distance from I-22. Congratulations, Walker County! ?? #BHMHasMore #BHMBizAlliance # #EconomicDevelopment #EconomicGrowth Photo credits to Blanton Media Group.

Unique places and spaces - BHM offers many of those! ?? One of which is THE City Walk Bham. Take a look at this article by Livability on one of our region's most unique spaces that connects BHM's Central Business District and Northern neighborhoods. Yesterday's BBA luncheon, generously sponsored by McWane, Inc., was a resounding success! We were privileged to hear from Business Council of Alabama (BCA) President & CEO Helena Duncan. Duncan spoke about how BCA is the voice of business in Alabama and how they are advocating for over one million working Alabamians. BCA works with state and federal government on behalf of Alabama businesses to advocate for reforms in areas such as workforce training, college and career readiness, infrastructure, manufacturing regulations, healthcare costs, tax policies and labor laws. BBA is proud to work alongside BCA to make Alabama a sweet home to do business. Thank you to all who attended and participated in the conversation. Our next BBA luncheon is tentatively set for Feb. 6, 2025. #BHMHasMore #BHMBizAlliance #AlabamaBusiness #AlabamaWorkforce #NetworkingLuncheon
