Peep our Sport Court grand opening with Nancy Lieberman and Jay Harris in 2021?? This was such a great day. Our members at our Greater Hampton Roads Unit are still loving this awesome court! ??
The mission of Nancy Lieberman Charities has a lot in common with that of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America when it comes to helping children. We've partnered to create safe play spaces where young people can absorb the valuable lessons of sport and beyond. Learn about how this collaboration has grown to this point and will continue to expand in the future. #sportsphilanthropy #basketball

This past week, the BGCVP team headed to Richmond to participate in the Virginia Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs' Day of Advocacy. Representing BGCVP were Youth of the Year candidates Amerah and Devan, BGCVP President and CEO Hal Smith, COO Rob Coleman, Director of Workforce Readiness Chanda Bowie, and CDO Madison Owens. Together, the group spent the day meeting with legislators to advocate for key policies impacting Boys & Girls Clubs across the state, were recognized on the Senate floor, and took part in an engaging Q&A session with Attorney General Jason Miyares. As president of the Virginia Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Hal Smith led the statewide advocacy efforts. Meanwhile, Amerah and Devan made a powerful impact by sharing their personal stories and highlighting the positive role the Clubs play in their lives. The day was a great mix of advocacy, learning, and inspiration, showcasing the collective strength of the Boys & Girls Clubs community!
