The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester has provided quality programs and services to the children of greater Manchester since 1907. The organization operates programs at several sites throughout Manchester with its main Clubhouse located at 555 Union Street, Manchester, NH. Services include a Before School Program, our Kids Club Program, After School and Transportation Program, Teen Center, Vacation Camps and Camp Foster Summer Day Camp. Our programs center on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Character & Leadership Development. Children in grades 1 through 12 are welcome. Fees vary based on grade and program. Thank you to our friends at Kiwanis Club of Manchester, NH for another memorable Walk with a Child event! Kiwanians and students from St. Anselm's College helped Boys & Girls Club of Manchester kids and teens complete their shopping list. Each Club member walked away with a stuffed bag of new clothes and a special toy! We are grateful for this continued partnership! ??
The Teen Center hosted its monthly late night event on Friday. More than 40 Tweens and Teens stayed in the Club late and played a variety of card and video games with Staff. This was a great night where members learned to play new games, while perfecting games they already knew. Shout out to our Tween/Teen staff for another successful late night event.
We celebrated each other at our annual Thanksgiving Family Dinner last night at the Clubhouse and each of our sites! We had 90 families join us for a delicious meal graciously prepared by?Caroline's Fine Food?and our kitchen staff Ryan and Luis.?Desserts were donated by?Bellwether Community Credit Union?and?Heritage Home Service; and made by our dedicated volunteer Karen. Events like our Thanksgiving Dinner isn’t possible without a group of dedicated volunteers. Special thanks to our leadership groups: Gemstone, Torch Club, and Keystone; our Board of Directors,?Pinkerton Academy?students, and staff for helping greet, serve food, and manage the photo booth. Thank you everyone for all you do for our Club and families.

A few of our members have been participating in a Social Emotional Learning curriculum in the Learning Center with Director of Education Betty and Director of Family & Behavioral Services Mary Kate. Yesterday they learned about gratitude - fitting for National Gratitude Month! Through the exercise, members established a HUGE list of people and things they are grateful for. They also discussed the importance of practicing gratitude.
