Please join us in celebrating our College Bound member, Sofia, for being named a finalist in Cox Mobile's Phone Case Design Contest in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America! This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating with our friends from Cox – Bridget Kelly, Colleen Dillaway, and the team – as we recognized Sofia’s incredible achievement. Out of contestants nationwide, Sofia was named one of just 22 finalists and won the Orange County/Palos Verdes Market, earning a $500 connectivity prize! But the journey doesn’t stop there—Sofia is now in the running for the grand prize, which includes: ?? A $25,000 scholarship ?? Her design featured on phone cases sold at Cox Mobile stores ?? A $25,000 Cox Innovation Lab grant for her Club We are so proud of you, Sofia, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way! ?????? A HUGE thank you to the 110 volunteers who dedicated their time to our YES Workforce Development Practice Interviews at Costa Mesa High School! This was for the entire senior class as part of their Senior Exit Project. In total, 10 sessions were conducted over 4 days! Because of your support, almost 300 seniors gained valuable interview experience that will help them in their future careers. ???? It was an amazing experience for both students and volunteers. Students spoke with professionals in their desired career field and volunteers passed along their years of knowledge and experience to the next generation. Thank you to Starbucks for fueling each of our sessions, so our volunteers were ready for every interview! And a special shoutout to our amazing partners!
