CALIFORNIA #FIRE, PUBLIC #AMBULANCE, AND #PUBLIC_SAFETY SERVICES: We remain (and always are) in awe of your work. But you also have equipment, training, technology, and personnel needs and there is a clock ticking on funding that, according to the state, averages around $200,000 or so per application. ?????????? Therefore, despite the current crisis happening in L.A. and Ventura Counties, Beyond Lucid Technologies IS PROCEEDING with our outreach to assist agencies with California Office of Traffic Safety grant submissions. Please note that these grants are ONLY available to public agencies (including special / taxing districts), but they are available to both Fire AND Ambulance services, and other agencies that provide care on public roadways (and/or pass over them en route to providing care).?????????? If you have any questions, thoughts or concerns -- or know an agency in California that should apply for an OTS grant -- please contact me via [email protected] and we'll tell you about them. I will also be reaching out via the state's associations. Thanks!

This gets even bigger. Thanks to our existing partnership, now #Fire, #EMS and #CriticalCare agencies -- in *ANY* (ANY!!!) jurisdiction where MyDirectives offers a #POLST or #MOLST registry (including #Maryland, #WashingtonDC, and soon #Massachusetts) -- can access end-of-life medical orders in the field, at the patient's side, in real-time. A compelling showcase of #Interoperability and #CollaborationForGood. ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? The achievement brings to mind what the iconoclastic Christopher Colwell said at #EMSAAC last year: We must start TRUSTING (!!!) clinicians in the field to "do the right thing for the patient." Dr. Cowell and Abby Dotson, Ph.D.: Your connected vision IS being realized, step by step, state by state. Exciting FYI for California, which is early in our POLST jouney: Jennifer Moore Ballentine, Keeta Scholl, Leslie Witten-Rood, CalHHS Center for Data Insights and Innovation Connecting for Better Health, Timi Leslie, John Ohanian, Tom McGinnis, Elizabeth Basnett, Congressman Jim Wood re: #AB133 CONGRATULATIONS Scott Brown, Maria D. Moen, Ron Wozny, Lisa Nelson, Donna Hatsumi Amelio, and the whole MyDirectives team on this wonderful achievement that empowers Responders in the field to honor patients' wishes. #VeryProudPartner ?? ?? ?? Big News! ?? MyDirectives has been awarded a major contract to enhance digital access and interoperability of portable medical order forms across Massachusetts. This new ePOLST registry will empower healthcare providers and first responders with real-time access to critical patient wishes, setting a new standard in emergency and end-of-life care. We're thrilled to be at the forefront of this vital initiative to improve patient care across the state and beyond.? ?? Today, Beyond Lucid Technologies is pleased to announce the promotion of our friend and colleague Art Groux to CHIEF PARTNER-CLIENT OFFICER. His role expansion enhances our position as Mobile Medicine’s leading “prehospital fiber optics” company. With Art as Chief Partner-Client Officer, BLT will continue our growth by focusing on post-crash care, as well as assisting our partner-client agencies with their goal to bolster financial strength through interoperability with hospitals and HIEs — in real-time and over time. While Beyond Lucid Technologies does not provide public information about our security infrastructure, we can say that we have not been impacted by the Crowdstrike issue. If any of our partner-client agencies are having issues at the local level (i.e., on their computers due to local municipal, etc., policies), feel contact us so that we can share published information about how to remedy the computer-specific challenges. Thanks and stay safe! ?? ?? ?? ?? ???????

Over the coming weeks and months, Beyond Lucid Technologies will be making several exciting announcements about partnerships, deployments, integrations across the gamut of #MobileMedicine segments that we touch, from documentation and prehospital health information exchange, to pediatric special health needs, to POLST awareness by crews in the field, to substance use intervention, to post-crash care. All of those things are, in effect, details. We're into our fifteenth year as a company -- always thrilled to share a birthday with you, Thorne Ambulance Service! -- but when I look back at the slide decks, old emails, and outreach materials we prepared over a decade ago, two things makes me prouder than anything: 1. It remains a height of my professional achievement -- a constant source of gratitude -- that every single member of our team owns their own home. That was a North Star to me as a commitment to those who make the magic happen; and 2. Our mission, mantra, and message have stayed exactly the same. Some technical discussions are different, but our PURPOSE IS IDENTICAL as from the start. It has never wavered, and it will never waver. Long ago, someone uttered a comparison between Apple's founding team and ours -- I don't know about all that, but I did manage to find a Steve Wozniak of our own. This genius's name is Christian Witt. (BOOM!) Steve Jobs was right: it's a noisy world, and Mobile Medicine is a VERY noisy profession (not just the sirens, but those too). We've been pushing the boundaries of innovation for a while, so I guess it's time that people know what we stand for. We'll be talking much more about that. In the meantime, I wanted to say there is only ONE point in this Masterclass on mission-oriented business about which I disagree with Mr. Jobs: at 3:20 into the video, he talks about how people with passion can change the world, in ways large and small. When it comes to Mobile Medicine #Fire #Ambulance #EMS #CCT #IFT #NEMT #MIH #CommunityParamedicine, I do, in fact, "think different." Both the Jewish (Sanhedrin 37a) and Muslim (Surah Al-Ma'idah 32) traditions teach that "He who saves one life has saved the entire world." Our work is not dedicated to those whose passion *could* change the world -- it is dedicated to those whose passion, commitment, and sacrifice *DOES* save the entire world, over and over, every day. There's nothing theoretical about it, and it doesn't matter whether you're running Code 3 with your hair on fire, or if you're holding a grandparent's hand to tell them it's okay, because they miss loved ones who live too far away. YOU are our purpose. YOUR mission doesn't change so neither does ours. Technology is the easy part. Here we toast to the crazy ones -- the BLT team is proud to share your foxhole. https://lnkd.in/g6i5AG-G ____
