This state-of-the-art system is designed for precision automation in handling plugs. Here’s how it works: Automated Handling: The robotic cell utilizes a co-bot to efficiently pick and place plugs. Underneath the plugs, a gantry system ensures they are properly positioned. Advanced Vision System: Before placement, the integrated vision system conducts an inspection to detect any obstructions and avoid collisions. Flexible Operation: The system is highly versatile, capable of executing various recipes. This means it can pick plugs from any position and place them at any designated location based on a pre-defined pick-and-place map. Presence Verification: To ensure reliable operation, the system checks for the presence of the plug in the gripper before proceeding with the placement. This project highlights the synergy between our teams: Beyond Kinematics led the computer vision and PLC programming, integrating advanced control and monitoring capabilities.
