Demarra West launched Be Well Beautiful People, a 501c3 organization dedicated to help all people be well. She started her wellness journey in 2010 when becoming a licensed therapist, driven in part, by her lived experience with complex childhood trauma. Understanding first hand the healing and liberation power of holistic practices like yoga, meditation, Reiki, trauma informed practice and more, she desires that for us all.

Our founder, Demarra West, played a pivotal role in helping Mountain Housing Opportunities center equity in their hiring process in partnership with Senior Advisor April Anthony of Armstrong McGuire & Associates. They worked side by side to help increase the diversity at MHO while creating an environment that centers equity in the hiring process—from creating inclusive job profiles to asking interview questions that are truly meaningful to advancing DEI. This work exemplifies our mission to ensure all organizations and individuals are well - especially those who need it most.
