    Have you also been seeing more companies report sudden drops in Google Search traffic? Evidence is suggesting that Google has meaningfully changed how they index sites and how search results are ranked. There's so much noise in SEO and I hardly trust anyone. As marketing professionals, we need to be in touch with the rarer subject matter experts to understand the nuances of how key channels (like SEO) are behaving.     Here’s a common question we hear a lot: “Aren’t location SEO and multi-location SEO basically the same thing?” Not quite. ?? Location SEO focuses on ranking a single business in one physical location. The goal is to optimize for local searches like “coffee shop near me” or “best plumber in [city name].” You’re dialing in on one geographical area, claiming that Google Business Profile, and building local citations to establish trust in that community. Simple, right? ?? Multi-Location SEO is like leveling up. You’re managing SEO for a business with multiple locations. Think of national chains or franchises. Each location needs its own unique strategy to rank locally, but under the umbrella of a larger brand. This involves: 1. Creating separate landing pages for each location. 2. Possibly managing multiple Google Business profiles. 3. Building localized content and link-building strategies for each market. The big challenge? Consistency across locations while still personalizing the experience for each area. So, while the fundamentals are the same, the scope and complexity are worlds apart. ?? Bottom line: Single location SEO is focused, multi-location SEO is a scalable beast.
