Coming to us all the way from Illinois, Matthew joined our team after graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a landscape designer, he is excited to explore all that Alaska has to offer! He has fallen in love with Alaska - enjoying the hiking and walking trails, connecting with family in Anchorage, and making connections in the community. “I have quickly learned that “resilient” has a whole different meaning here. From the possibility of encountering moose in town to designs that can accommodate over 100 inches of snow, the conditions here are very different and at times much more extreme than what I am used to in the Midwest.” -Matthew Jenkins

Meet our new addition to the Anchorage office, Andy Kreiter! He recently graduated from the University of Oregon with his Masters of Architecture degree and was immediately ready to start his next adventure in Alaska. “As a designer, I am always exploring different mediums and forms of expression to convey architecture and design intent. I am particularly drawn to material expression and recently MASS timber structures that utilize sustainable forestry practices.” -Andy Kreiter Outside of work, Andy loves photography, sketching, and videography, but his greatest passion is fishing. He has already made it his mission to fish as much as possible this summer and he is definitely getting the fish hold down for his photos! Glad to have you aboard the team, Andy!

Hi! My name is Elena Prichard, and I am an architecture intern for this summer. I grew up in Fairbanks, but I currently go to school at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota because I couldn’t give up the cold. I am an environmental studies major with an emphasis on the built and urban environment and after my undergrad I hope to get a master’s in architecture and sustainable design. Over the summer I will be doing as many of my hobbies as possible: backpacking, drawing, watercolor, yoga, and getting roped into obligatory home improvement schemes.
