??Layoff Week 20: It Takes a Village This is my last layoff week post. In week 19, the offers came in, and I landed my next role. More on that soon. ?? ?????????? ???? ?????? ?????? ???????????? It’s tough out there. There are plenty of jobs and remote roles, but the challenge is the sheer number of people searching. In January I hit a crossroads, where I realized this could take a while. I kept networking my a$$ off. I had incredible conversations, built relationships, and landed referrals. Some people I met had jobs lined up immediately, while others searched for nine months to over a year. Could I have done this alone? Probably. But I didn’t have a year to wait, and I wasn’t about to settle for something I didn’t love out of desperation. It was time to be strategic. ?? ??????????: ???????????????? ???????? Mattie Stremic ???? Better Career We built a strategy focused on exactly what I wanted. While Mattie and the team added the razzle to the dazzle of my resume, I created a targeted list of 40+ companies in my industries, offering remote roles, and aligned with my goals. I hit a 60+% conversion rate on cold applications. Mattie and Yuji’s method works. In a saturated market, they gave me the tools to stand out. You can never go wrong on investing in yourself. 45 days after getting started with them, I had two offers and landed EXACTLY where I wanted. More than just landing a job, this process made me a better seller all around. ?? ???????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????????? Every conversation, like, repost, job lead, resource share, and bit of advice all of it helped me get here. Whether it gave me new insights, built a bridge, or simply made me feel supported, I’m beyond grateful for everyone who showed up these last few months. He followed the playbook and landed TWO competitive job offers ($185K OTE). ????. ?????????? ???????????????? ($270K OTE) landed in a high-growth, high-impact role after a layoff—joining a team that’s overachieving YoY, positioning him to exceed $300K. ?????????????????? ???????????????? ($165K OTE first-time SE) used a unique and creative presentation to stand out in his demo interview and impressive the hiring team. ?????????????????? ???????????????????? went through a grueling interview process with two presentation rounds ???and landed a solid offer with a high-growth startup. ?????????????????? ???? ($350K OTE) blew away the panel in his presentation interview to land his job offer ?????????????? ?????????????????? crammed for his presentation with Salesforce, nailed it, and secured his job offer! ?? ?????????????? ?????????????????? only took 45 days from starting with us to land TWO job offers ($190K + $200K OTE) increasing her base by $30K! ?????????????? ?????????????????? ($175K OTE) grabbed a significant pay increase from his previous position and achieved his goal of moving into an upmarket segment. These folks worked incredibly hard but were committed to the process, and it paid off! We couldn’t be happier for them! And we’re grateful to have been able to work with each of these clients on their job search. Job searching is a grind.
