We are thrilled to be a sponsor of this year's PSRS Diversity Travel Fellowship Awards, dedicated to fostering inclusivity in spine research. This initiative supports underrepresented individuals attending the ORS/PSRS International Spine Research Symposium for the first time, providing both financial assistance and invaluable personal mentoring opportunities. We were also happy to see 2024 Bethel Fellow Kevin Burt, PhD, University of Pennsylvania at the meeting. Dr. Burt is one of the BMRC's postdoctoral Bethel Fellows, working on immune cell phenotyping during spine destabilization. #ors #psrs #spineresearch #lowbackpain #sponsor #congratulations

Congratulations to Christabel Dube MNeuro, MRSB, PhD - one recipient of our BMRC/ORS Diversity Travel Fellowship Award, which aims to increase diversity and equitable access to spine research. #ors #psrs #diversity #spinesurgeon
Huge congratulations to our brilliant postdoctoral researcher Christabel Dube MNeuro, MRSB, PhD who won the ORS Spine Section Innovation Award at the Orthopaedic Research Society 7th International Spine Research Society meeting at the beautiful Skytop Lodge. The award acknowledged her spatial transcriptomic work on the developing human spine using the 10x Genomics VisiumHD system. Christabel was also awarded an ORS Diversity Travel Fellowship Award to attend the meeting. Thanks to Makarand Risbud and Lachlan Smith for organising the meeting, which has combined fantastic science, great social activities and a brilliant opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Looking forward to the next one already, when we can hopefully provide an update on our research into human spine development.
