Recently, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center transitioned their electronic health records to EPIC, which will lead to more seamless and integrated patient care from hospital to hospital. BIDMC has announced that research led by Werner Neuhausser M.D., Ph.D. has been approved for $22 million in research funding by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. This is a large, multi-center study on cleavage-versus blastocyst stage embryo transfer in patients with a poor prognosis who are undergoing in vitro fertilization. “My research aims to bring answers and reduce anxiety for many patients undergoing IVF who have a small number of embryos,” said, Neuhausser. “There are few studies analyzing pregnancy outcomes in patients undergoing IVF with fewer than five embryos. This study will help develop patient-centered, evidence-based practice guidelines about the appropriate timing of a transfer.” Read more ?? https://lnkd.in/eK3sqck2

For over 30 years, the BIDMC Summer Youth Jobs program has been empowering local high school students with paid internships, prioritizing under-resourced youth from our community. Through this program, students gain invaluable experience in departments like Anesthesia, Cardiology, OB/GYN, and more, while participating in career exploration activities. This program is an opportunity for young people to provide valuable assistance to departments while learning new skills and exploring career possibilities.
