Our Retail Property and Development Team are undertaking a charity fundraiser this weekend. They're taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks ?? Challenge to raise money for a great cause - Claire House Children's Hospice. Supporting our colleagues in their charitable work is something we're passionate about as a business, so we'd love to help the team by raising awareness of their fundraiser. I've collected a few hair-related nicknames over the last three years: "Adidas Jesus" "Hipster Rasputin" "Poundland Rylan" "Jonathan Van Mess" "Wow, Jason Mamoa has let himself go" (and one I had to look up on Urban Dictionary which is not safe for LinkedIn) …but unfortunately, those days are coming to an end. As my hair is now long enough to donate, I have decided to chop it all off and give it (and hopefully some money) to the The Little Princess Trust. They take donations of long hair and turn it into wigs for cancer patients and sufferers of other hair-loss-related conditions. The donations of hair are a great help, but they also need monetary donations to help pay for the making and distribution of the wigs, so I have set up a JustGiving page to help collect some money (link in comments) and I'll also be taking advantage of the Betfred "Matched Funding" initiative, who will match whatever I can raise, aiding LPTs great cause even further. The hair cut is booked in for Tuesday 27th May and I'll take donations up to Friday 30th May. I'll post before/during/after pictures on the JustGiving page too. As always, all & any donations are much appreciated.

Since we partnered with Rippl - Recognition, Reward & Benefits to provide 'B-Hive' - our Rewards, Benefits & Recognition platform, we've seen a significant impact. We've been able to leverage the platform and align it to other recognition initiatives, and highlight to colleagues just how much they have available to them as part of their reward package. We're really excited to see how much more impact it can have in 2025!

Their previous platform only operated in the UK and while colleague recognition featured on the platform, the mobile app lacked this function alongside employee benefits access. ? ?? So together, we conceptualised the B-Hive all-in-one mobile community to streamline recognition, rewards and benefits alongside wider engagement features to Betfred's teams, initially launching in October 2023 in the UK and Gibraltar, followed by the US in 2024 and exciting plans for launch in South Africa in 2025. ? ?? And since, B-Hive has evidenced multi-dimensional impact, which is the kind of news we love to share: - 91% colleague registration rate - 48.5% monthly active user engagement - 1 in every 5 recognitions enhanced with reward - 74,670+ views of B-Hive's benefits hub - Recognised colleagues on B-Hive are 50% less likely to leave the organisation - Exceptional recognition in multiple industry awards including Best Employer and Best Employee Engagement ? ?? After the first group completed their course earlier this month, we're now very proud to have had our second group of colleagues complete their Mental Health First Aider training! We've now got 31 colleagues from departments all around the business who've been trained in Mental Health First Aid. This shows the company's commitment to looking after it's most valuable asset - the people. Congratulations to everyone who completed the training and a big thanks to Colin Streatfield for his contribution to this project!
