Motor installed? ?: A look into the team, process, and components that make up N916LF - the first aircraft off our rate production line.

We’ve rolled our production-intent ALIA CTOL off the line and launched our production flight test campaign — now, we want to celebrate one of the key systems, and companies, that helped make it possible. We’re thrilled to have Garmin's new G3000 PRIME as ALIA’s avionics system across CTOL and VTOL. We couldn’t think of a better company to lean on for a state-of-the-art flight deck that adapts existing functionality to fit into our novel electric airplane. Yesterday we completed the first flight of an aircraft built on our rate production line. Within a year, we’ve gone from a certificate of occupancy on our 200,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in South Burlington, Vermont, to fully installed aerospace tooling, an organized and shored up supply chain, and manufactured propulsion systems. Now we’ve rolled an aircraft off the production line, gotten an airworthiness certificate from the FAA, and flown it for the first time. It’s a proud day for the team — with many more to follow as we work to get this technology into the hands of our customers.

Metro Aviation, Inc. is known for constant innovation and implementing cutting-edge technologies to increase safety and improve how it serves its top-tier medical programs. We’re excited for ALIA to join these operations as Metro plans to utilize the all-electric aircraft to serve some of the most challenging remote and mountainous regions across the U.S.

For eight years, we've been developing technology to help make the transport of goods and people more reliable, cleaner, and more cost-effective. We've just raised more than $300M in equity capital to support that goal, which will help propel the production, certification, and commercialization of our all-electric aircraft and charging infrastructure. We’re grateful to all of our investors, including Qatar Investment Authority, Fidelity Investments Management and Research Company, and TPG Rise Climate for their confidence in our progress to-date and our vision for the future. We’re excited to keep ramping up production and begin delivering aircraft to our customers –?and this is just the beginning!
