Meet the Team! Let us introduce you to Terry Thompson for this week’s #EmployeeSpotlight! Terry joined Bestwork back in August and is currently working on the grommet machine for the Navy fleece. Terry said, “Here at Bestwork, the work really doesn’t feel like work because it really is great coming here everyday. You feel appreciated here. It’s truly been a fantastic couple of months. I’d recommend working here to anyone looking.” Terry loves all things music - making music, writing music, producing, and obviously listening to music. He also enjoys spending time with his 4 kids and playing video games. #Manufacturing #BestworkInAction #HappyFriday

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming guests from the Animal Welfare Association, Alloy Silverstein Accountants and Advisors, and SJSL Specialty Transport onsite for a tour. Many of these individuals attended our Breakfast in the Dark event in October, so we invited them here to see our operation in full swing! Some even brought friends! Thanks so much for spending the morning with us, we really appreciate your time and look forward to future opportunities! #BestworkInAction #CommunityImpact

Meet the Team! For this week's #EmployeeSpotlight, we'd like to celebrate October's Employee of the Month... Rodney Watlington! Rodney joined Bestwork in May 2019 and is currently folding, labeling, and packing the Navy fleece jacket. Rodney said that he was "surprised, but grateful" for winning this month. He says, "I'm really happy to win - it's certainly motivating but I will always come to work and do my absolute best. Winning Employee of the Month won't change that about me but I am honored to be recognized. Thank you." In his spare time, Rodney is a big-time bowler. He’s won tournaments – both standard and for the visually impaired. He also enjoys playing chess and spending time with his wife and children. Congratulations, Rodney! #HappyFriday #EmployeeOfTheMonth #Recognition

On this #VeteransDay, we want to recognize and thank all the incredible veterans who served our country. In observance of the day, Bestwork will be closed today, November 11, and will reopen tomorrow, November 12. As a veteran-founded organization, we are honored to carry on the legacy of Jim Varsaci, who was blinded in combat while serving in the Army during WWII. His tenacity and determination created an organization to offer employment to people who are blind, including veterans. Today Bestwork employs 6 veterans, including Jon Katz, our President & CEO. Thank you to all of the veterans, including our own! #VeteranFounded #VeteranLed #ProudVeteranEmployer
