What a great few days at Best Ever Conference! This event is always a great venue for connecting with our clients and meeting new people across our industry. Here are a few highlights from our team: ?? Our Customer Experience team connected with clients to talk about their onboarding and support experience, and how we can continue supporting them as their success partner. ?? Our Accounts team chatted with GPs about the challenges they’re experiencing when raising and managing capital today, and how we can come alongside them to alleviate bottlenecks and build stronger investor experiences. ?? Our Product team ideated with clients on ways to enhance our platform and attended sessions to learn about emerging GP pain-points. ? Our Executive Team members connected with clients to listen to their feedback and met with strong operators across our space to brainstorm new ways to evolve our offerings. And along the way, we ate many, many cookies. ?? We’re walking away from this event with great conviction about the state of capital raising today: the market is competitive, but the GPs who ultimately succeed will be the ones that put their investor experience first and prioritize transparency always. I’m at the Best Ever Conference in Salt Lake City. The event pulls together some of the brightest minds in CRE to discuss the market and connect potential partners and vendors. The sentiment is certainly different this year than a few years ago, but now is the time to get laser focused as opportunities emerge in the markets. I had the chance to listen to hundreds of attendees and speakers at the event and here are three takeaways. 3 Key Takeaways from BEC 1. Investor sentiment has shifted and many are more interested in debt positions than equity. 2. Light to moderate value-add investors are bullish on pricing for acquisitions moving forward but those that seek highly distressed assets believe prices will still be too high 3. A lot of uncertainty around the Trump administration policies but most believe it will be a net positive for investors As a multifamily investor, it’s important to act like an entrepreneur. Which means identifying problems and overcoming obstacles instead of just doing things the way they’ve always been done. The new market conditions will create a lot of opportunities for those who think and act creatively to take advantage of it.
