Founded in 2015, Berry Good Food is a grassroots nonprofit organization that aims to tackle the barriers—educational, economic, systemic, infrastructural—standing between people in our region and local, sustainably produced food. We educate, connect and support our food community through a variety of programs and events like affordable cooking classes, expert panel discussions, school garden grants, and farm-to-table dinners. We empower our community by building bridges between farmers, chefs, scientists, and citizens to challenge the industrial food system while advocating for access to healthy food for all. We strengthen our local, regenerative, and sustainable food system by partnering with mission-aligned organizations to deepen our regional impact.

Workin on the weekend with the Oceanside community at John Landes Community Center! This garden build marks the beginning of #GrowingAFoodMovement through garden-to-table educational programs that will become available in the coming months. As CMOs, our role is to ensure that our strategies align with values and goals to drive meaningful progress. Extending this commitment beyond our daily responsibilities, we've established CMO CARES to leave a little good wherever we go. During our fall summit, we partnered with five local nonprofits in San Diego—San Diego Humane Society, GenerateHope, ElderHelp of San Diego, Promises2Kids, and Berry Good Food Foundation—to give back to the community. With an initial goal of raising $5,000, we are thrilled to announce that we exceeded this target thanks to the generous participation of our attendees. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
