Every Bernards project tells a story of collaboration, commitment, and care. Learn about one of our most impactful healthcare developments— the Mark Ridley-Thomas (MRT) Behavioral Health Center! In partnership with County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, design-build partners Bernards and HOK transformed the former 500,000 SF King/Drew Medical Center located in South Los Angeles, into a 5-story state-of-the-art hub for healing and comfort. Preserving the original structure and integrity designed by renowned African American architect Paul Revere Williams, the unique Mark Ridley-Thomas (MRT) Behavioral Health Center was renovated with minimal demolition and construction costs. In the short span of 20 months, this comprehensive one-stop-shop healthcare facility housed 20 new exam rooms (doubling the existing capacity) and various Los Angeles County departments including Health, Mental Health, Aging and Community, Workforce Development, and Probation services — extending care to more residents and defining a new model of healthcare for Los Angeles County. #Bernards

Musick Facility has transformed 45 acres of unused farmland into a modern complex, designed to enhance treatment and rehabilitation while meeting the evolving needs of its community.
