Some photos from our SFUSD Student Day! We engaged the students from Dr. Charle Drew Elementary School, A.P. Giannini Middle School, and Abraham Lincoln High School with our design process and got their feedback on the Outdoor Learning Environments. We asked them: 1. What do you like to do outside at school (during PE, recess, lunch, class)? 2.What is your favorite and least favorite part of the schoolyard? 3.What would make your schoolyard even better than it is today? (Examples could include shade, seating, plants, art...) We introduced our 5 outdoor learning classroom templates to them in the form of cutouts and let them place them on the site plan of their school; this allows them to better understand the impact that outdoor learning can have on their schools.

We're so excited to see the frame starting to go up at Bright Star Schools Valor Academy Elementary! Construction recently began on this new 36,000 SF school campus in October. The campus includes 27 classrooms, a multi-purpose room, outdoor learning and play space, and the renovation of a historic house into new administrative offices.
