A draft Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for Berkshire County is available for public review and comment through the month of November, and can be found at the project website, www.berkshiresteps.org. If you have any questions or comments, please email [email protected] or use the comment form provided in the project website. All comments will be publicly listed in the final copy of the Action Plan, slated for adoption in early 2025.

ADU webinar on Monday, 11/4 at 10am! The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC), Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) would like to invite all municipal officials, municipal staff, and local leaders working on Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) issues to a webinar which will include an overview of the new ADU law that becomes effective on February 2, 2025. EOHLC will provide an update on frequently asked questions and offer an opportunity to hear your questions, which will inform future guidance. Finally, the webinar will provide an overview of EOHLC’s next steps. Please note that this webinar is not intended for property owners who want to understand how they might finance and construct ADUs.
