PMHCA held its second Annual Recovery Conference this week at the DoubleTree in Reading, PA. Haven Behavioral Hospital and Berkshire Psychiatric Services were proud to sponsor the event. We hosted a vendor table to showcase our services and support for individuals with lived experience of mental illness. This year’s theme, the "Un-Masquerade Ball," invited everyone to remove the masks of stigma and self-stigma, celebrating their authentic and beautiful selves. #berkshirepsychiatric #berkscountypa #mentalhealthmatters

This past Saturday, Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern PA and Berkshire Psychiatric & Behavioral Health Services proudly served as sponsors for the NAMI Berks County "Are You OK?" 5K Run/Walk! We came together with the community to raise awareness about mental health and support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in their mission to provide hope, education, and advocacy. Your participation and support help break the stigma and spread the message that it’s okay to ask, "Are you OK?" Thank you to everyone who joined us in this meaningful event! Together, we are making a difference. #MentalHealthMatters #NAMI5K #CommunitySupport #AreYouOK #BreakingTheStigma

On September 10th, we observed World Suicide Prevention Day. In Berks County, PA, our Community Liaison, Genevieve Deitz, shared information about the treatment programs offered at Haven Behavioral Hospital and Berkshire Psychiatric & Behavioral Health Services. The community gathered at City Park to explore available resources, participate in Stop the Bleed trainings, engage in a story walk, and take part in a butterfly release. Pictured with Genevieve are Cesar Cepeda, Founder and Director of Forward Thinking Communities, and Jamie Baez, Reading City Council Member. #suicideprevention #mentalhealthmatters #berkspa
