We all know working with electricity is dangerous but encountering aggressive dogs while in the field is another danger our employees face. March’s Manager of the Month is Director of System Protection and Automation Brent Bass. He has served co-op members for 16 years. ???? ?? ????????????????, ???????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ????? System Metering – Installing, maintaining, and testing electric meters and related equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Relay and Controls- Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs protective relay systems and control systems, ensuring reliable operation of the power grid. They are responsible for maintaining all protective relays, controls, and substation RTUs across BEC’s service territory. AMI- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AMI system, including monitoring its health and addressing potential problems. Operations Center- Central hub/Nerve center at BEC. Responsible for monitoring, managing, and coordinating operations surrounding BEC’s power distribution system. ???????? ???? ?? ?????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????? ???????? ?????? ?????? ???? ?????? ???????? ?????? ????????????? “The full deployment of the AMI system. The time that was involved and the road to get there was arduous to say the least. It was a massive undertaking and took the coordination of virtually every department here at BEC to reach the finish line. ???????? ?????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????????????????????? ???? ???????????? ???????????? ??????’?? ???????? ?????????? ???????? ????????? “Just the overall work ethic and competency of each employee.
