We are honored to be chosen to participate in this process with CivicLab
Excellence can be found across our country, and many times excellence can be found in the places we call home. CivicLab, with support from Ascendium Education Group and ECMC Foundation, is proud to work with 10 #rural cross-sector partnerships to rethink rural economies and transform education to employment systems. These partnerships will go through a multi-year process to uncover what is unique in their own community, and determine ways to leverage that uniqueness when addressing complex social challenges. Replete with new data sets that connect LMI, place, and people together, and with new tools and processes to drive cross-sector collaboration, each partnership will find novel ways to fix the current talent system for one set of people, then extend those solutions to many. All of us at CivicLab are humbled to be invited into these ten communities. While national narratives position rural communities as marginalized and "less than" their neighbors, we know they are anything but. Rural communities are discerning, cautious of groups with empty promises, and strong in their own self-determination. Being invited in to work alongside a rural partnership is a sign of a high honor in our estimation, and we hope to do well by our new and existing partners. Be sure to follow along as these rural partnerships work towards transformation in their local talent and economic systems: Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce; Community Education Coalition (CEC); Expect More Tehama; FutureMakers Coalition; Impact Independence County; JOHN JAY CENTER FOR LEARNING INC; Our Future in UNiSON; BB2C: Building Bridges to Careers; Tuscarawas County Economic Development Corp., and; Western Montana Care Workforce Collaborative.
