Thank you to all who attended for a wonderful IP Scholars Conference 2024! We are especially grateful for the celebrations of the life of the prodigious scholar and mentor Professor Dan Burk, during the lunchtime session led by Jessica Silbey and through the many acts of collegiality, inclusion, and engagement witnessed at the conference. May we continue to honor his memory by "Being Like Dan. (Kudoboard:https://lnkd.in/g82_bhxm)? • Berkeley Center for Law and Technology (BCLT) is thrilled to share the success of our event held at Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP, this past Tuesday, August 27th. This workshop saw great attendance with over 100 students registered (we had a full and growing waiting list!)! The event introduced students to essential strategies to maximize their experiences at BCLT’s law firm networking events. They had the invaluable opportunity to connect with Bay Area IP/tech attorneys and recruiting professionals, who generously shared their tips and tricks on leaving a lasting impression on prospective employers.? We want our students to ask thoughtful questions that help align and sharpen their career interests – setting them up with the information needed for their future success and we think this event did just that! The evening concluded with a lively reception, where attendees could practice the newly acquired skills in a real-world setting. We look forward to hosting our mini career fair events throughout the year and engaging with your firm too.? Please let us know how we can help connect you to this amazing Berkeley Law class! Contact BCLT Exec. Dir. Wayne Stacy to learn more. Berkeley Center for Law & Technology (BCLT), Wayne Stacy

Cybersecurity in Context (Wiley 2024) --- teacher evaluation copies are now available. https://lnkd.in/dv2ZEPgt Golden G. Richard III and I wrote Cybersecurity in Context to simplify the teaching of introduction to cyber at the UG or graduate level. We have been using readers and wanted a work that taught the subject from multiple disciplines. This work integrates the technology, policy, theory, and law of cyber. It comes with a VM featuring technical exercises for upskilling and demystifying cyber praxis. We linked these exercises to policy tussles and legal issues. Teachers---the book comes with an extensive manual, a full semester of slides, and over 120 discussion prompts and exercises. Check out chapter one here: https://lnkd.in/d8AVi5yt
