North Carolina has seen significant population growth, leading to rising home prices and rents. The Local Government Commission approved $750 million in revenue bonds to increase affordable housing and the "Keep Housing Affordable Act" was proposed to extend the affordability period of housing units which offers developers extra tax credits.
