SELF-CARE AND YOUR MENTAL HEALTH What if I told you that your mental health conditions are more closely related to what happens to you internally than to what happens externally? What I mean is that one of the causes of our mental health conditions, which we often overlook, is our self-care routine. It all depends on how well we practice self-care. What I have discovered in my experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and my work as a Whole-body Wellness Coach and Advocate at BePurBold, is that we have lost touch with our body's natural wisdom. We're losing our sensuality with ourselves and this is impacting our mental health. With this in mind, I have developed a method, which I call the BODY WISDOM METHOD?? to help millennial women reconnect with their body’s natural wisdom, and so far, it has proven helpful for my clients. The method involves two steps. The first step is called SACRED SPACE ACTIVATION??, and it entails creating and enhancing your senses and creating an energy bubble to help you reconnect with yourself. The second step is called PHYSICAL INTEGRATION, and it involves having a quick body scan to help you discover that one thing that can enhance your physical and intimate wellness. Here’s a simple mindfulness exercise you can incorporate into your busiest days: 1.
