Yesterday, The BEPP held an Online Industry Update to discuss the status of the proposed ANSI Standard for Executive Protection and the status of the ProMetric examination currently in development. Thank you to the many industry professionals who attended and asked questions. To continue the push for industry knowledge, we submit this example question. Question: Your client has communicated she will be attending a meeting on Capitol Hill with legislators and plans to land her private aircraft at Ronald Reagan National Airport to save time. The pilot has contacted you and advised you of the requirement to have an Armed Security Officer (ASO) to land. You do not have any staff that are qualified ASO's and begin searching for someone to subcontract with for the visit. To verify the ASO's qualifications, what Federal Agency manages the ASO program and issues credentials? 1. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 2. The Department of Transportation (DOT) 3. The District of Columbia Air Management Agency (DCAMA) 4.
