Below you can read a summarised version of our reflections and government funders' updates, separate from current events. ?? Key Takeaways: - For Multi-Year Awards: Don’t assume funding will repeat every year. Budget conservatively and plan for uncertainty. - Program Officers: They’re guides, not decision-makers. Be respectful and patient, their feedback can be precious. - Advocacy Matters: Call your reps and support local arts advocacy. Your voice counts! Funders to Watch: NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) Budget: ~$207M for 2023/24. Apply conservatively and read guidelines closely, as federal funding faces uncertainty. CAC (California Arts Council) Budget: ~$33.8M for 2024/25. Apply, but be cautious with your budgeting since their budget has dropped precipitously in recent years. GAArts (Georgia Council on the Arts) Budget: ~$2.25M for FY25. Apply for smaller grants and plan for limited funding. NYSCA (New York State Council on the Arts) Budget: Stable through 2024.
