This happened! Our very first growler sold in April of 2011 walked in the door. Can you believe that!? ?? ?? Kevin Carlson was on a GetKnit Events Tour and found himself and a group of friends being the very first people to walk through the Bent Paddle Taproom/Production doors. Bryon Tonnis and Kevin reunited and reminisced on the experience and what a wild paddle it’s been for both of them. Moments like these are the special moments that remind us how lucky we are to have spent the past 11 years building lasting connections both with people and community. Ahhhh the liquid we love. Think of where we would be without beer as a society, the social lubricant and often times the glue to our humanity and humility, in good times and bad. This beverage has been there through it all. Thank you Kevin for bringing your beautiful family by and sharing this moment with us. Calibration batch IPA 001 AKA Bent Hop. Big thanks to Pepin Young for capturing this beautiful moment ?? ??

We had a great time at Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild Autumn Brew Review this past weekend! Thanks The Minnesota Star Tribune for the mention, and cheers to 9 Mile Brewing and this great collaboration. ?? "“We couldn’t wait to be here,” said Nine Mile co-founder Bob Countryman, who got a nice boost Saturday by working on a collaboration beer with one of Minnesota’s best-loved breweries, Duluth’s Bent Paddle. Why Bent Paddle? Because Countryman had a friend there also named Bob (Kreutzer, sales rep). Hence the name of their Vienna lager collaboration, Two Bobs from Bloomington. Whatever it takes to work together." https://lnkd.in/gyhG4yKS

The team had the opportunity to see how Atlas Games Replay Workshop repurposes our PakTeks, and grain bags (along with a variety of other plastics) to create unique game dice and pieces, coasters, bookmarks and tons of other products ?? Sustainability and having a positive environmental voice as a business is a big deal to us at Bent Paddle Brewing Co. We will always have more we can do toward being as sustainable as possible, but we think about it daily with every decision we make and to us that is the point – to always be balancing the bottom line with our environmental and socially responsible ideals to ensure sustainability for our business, our employees, our local community and the greater world around us. It's amazing and inspiring to see Atlas Games' ability to partner with numerous local organizations and commitment to take many different plastic items and repurpose them into functional items once again. Replay Workshop is Atlas Games line of upcycled game accessories. Their focus is on crafting one-of-a-kind game components from local plastic waste with the goal of achieving zero waste in their warehouse operations.
