Through a Classroom Grant awarded this fall, Bennington Middle School students are creating their first large-scale public art display – an idea from Art Teacher Amy Blanchard! ?? Inspired by artist Dale Chihuly, 6th-8th graders are collaborating to create a massive sculpture for the cafeteria using recycled materials. Students are already off to a great start coloring bottles with sharpies from the grant! The project supports multiple educational objectives: ? Hands-on experience with 3D art & recycled materials ?
