One of the most rewarding parts of our job is seeing our products packaged up and ready for delivery. Today we are thrilled to share a recently completed order for a loyal trade customer. This order included 100mm x 50mm Oregon 6m packs which were sent off to be stress graded before landing into the hands of our customer. Stress grading timber is the way to test the strength of the timber. It helps us determine if the timber can handle weight and be used safely in building things, like house framing and structures. Grading looks at things like how dense the wood is and if there are any cracks or defects. This ensures that the wood is safe and reliable for construction. As we approach the end of February, we're excited to share our project of the month! This month’s featured project is nestled in the serene and beautiful Oxford hills. It involves an extension to our customer's existing premises, showcasing a beautifully designed self-contained hospitality suite. Our customer used our premium Larch cladding in a board-and-batten style for this extension. We are thrilled to be working with a loyal, returning customer of Bennetts Sawmill, who has purchased over 2,000 meters of cladding from us over the years. In fact, his first purchase of Larch cladding from Bennetts Sawmill was 50 years ago. Yesterday at Bennetts Sawmill we held our very first Inaugural Auction Day. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. It was a successful day with all of our timber packs sold to customers.?A big shout out to Rural Livestock Ltd for running the auction, their team did an excellent job to ensure the auction was run smoothly. It was a pleasure to host the auction right here at the mill. It was a great opportunity to give our customers a behind the scenes look at our operations and capabilities. We were thrilled to also put on a delicious barbecue for our customers as a small token of our appreciation for their loyalty, and commitment to Bennetts Sawmill. It’s tomorrow! Only 24 hours until you can head out the mill tomorrow for an epic auction day and enjoy a barbeque hosted by the Bennetts Sawmill team. At this event we will be auctioning off farm packs and within these farm packs there will be a variety of timber (see pictures).
