Managing employee benefits just got smarter and more efficient with Benepass's latest product feature: Pre-approval access to benefit funds! This new tool allows admins to require employees to submit proof of eligibility before accessing specific funds, ensuring the right funds are used for the right reasons from the start. ? What problem are we solving?? Sometimes, relying on substantiation requirements after the fact isn’t enough. For benefits like tuition reimbursement, where funds should only be used for job-relevant courses, it’s better to confirm upfront. Our new pre-approval feature solves this by allowing admins to “gate” access, ensuring employees provide the necessary proof before receiving or spending benefit funds. ? How does it work?? With pre-approval access, a special type of contribution schedule is added to the benefit. Once an employee’s eligibility is confirmed and their request is approved, the funds are automatically added to their account balance. And the process is customizable—our team can help you configure the benefits and design the form employees see when requesting funds. This feature can work alongside standard contribution schedules, giving employers the flexibility to allocate additional funds to employees who meet specific criteria. ? What does this mean for users?? Employees will now see a clear “You have access to” section on their account details page, showing the maximum funds available and the timeframe to request them. By clicking “Request funds,” they can submit documentation through a custom form. Once approved, they’ll receive an email confirming that their funds are ready to spend—quick, easy, and transparent!
