BELOvEDS A Nania Foundation was founded in honor of Angelo Nania Jr. who at 49 years old suddenly and tragically died on Father's Day, in 2019, due to an aortic dissection and rupture caused by complications related to a rare genetic condition called vascular Elhers-Danlos Syndrome (vEDS), Angelo was a son, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many. His unexpected passing left us devastated but determined to find solutions. BELOvEDS, A Nania Foundation Inc., is a volunteer-run recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to raising awareness and funds for research in hopes of a viable treatment for vEDS one day. In just one year, building on our fundraising success, BELOvEDS could not be prouder to have launched a scholarship fund for college students who are living with vEDS or have a parent or guardian with a confirmed vEDS diagnosis. As a family, we are committed to raising awareness and funds for research while we fight and pray for a successful treatment for vEDS, not only for our family members, but for every single person and family affected by this condition.
