We are thrilled to welcome Walden Winters, CFRE as our new Director of Advancement!
Hello friends and colleagues! I'm thrilled to share that I've accepted the role of Director of Advancement at BELONG Partners, an education equity nonprofit on a mission to build communities where all young people have the opportunity to thrive. I will be relocating to Seattle, Washington for this exciting adventure! With over 7 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, I've built a proven track record of growing memberships, cultivating new donors, and moving major donors through the pipeline. Most recently, as Texas After Violence Project's first ever Development Director, I helped build power with directly impacted communities, centering their dignity, agency, and expertise to cultivate restorative and transformative justice. TAVP's mission is to foster deeper understandings of the impacts of state violence and cultivate a culture of care - centering the needs of victims, survivors, and their loved ones through community-based accountability and healing. Our fundraising team has been critical to TAVP's exponential budget growth to support their national expansion. I am particularly grateful to the mentors I have found at my time with TAVP like, Jennifer Toon, Murphy Anne Carter, MPA, and Jasmarie Hernández-Ca?uelas to name a small few. In my new role at BELONG Partners, I'll be laser-focused on donor stewardship and solicitation, staff and community collaboration, continued stable grant funding, and, my favorite, event planning. As an intentional leader passionate about building authentic relationships, I'm thrilled to leverage my expertise to further BELONG's mission of creating equitable learning opportunities. I look forward to connecting with the BELONG community and exploring ways we can work together. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more!
