Grateful for the support that our elected officials, community boards, and community advisory board provide for NYC HEALTH+HOSPITALS | BELLEVUE. It means a lot to our patients, communities, and staff! We held our annual legislative breakfast last Friday and highlighted some of the amazing emergency, stroke, and pediatric ICU care that we provide as the only Level 1 adult trauma and Level 2 pediatric trauma center south of 68th St. in Manhattan and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Thank you to NYC Council Member Mercedes Narcisse for being our keynote speaker and sharing your 5 bridges we need to cross for better healthcare for all. Appreciate NYS Assembly Member Harvey Epstein and NYS Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal for joining us. Also grateful for senior staff Fannie Ip representing NYS Assembly Member Grace Lee and Katie Loeb representing NYC Council Member Carlina Rivera for their words of support. Proud to serve on the NYC HEALTH+HOSPITALS | BELLEVUE Community Advisory Board, including at the hospital today for the board's annual legislative breakfast. With Manhattan Community Board 6 chair Sandra McKee, Bill Hicks, Harvey Epstein, and Dr. Eric Wei who succeeded Bill as Bellevue's CEO in January. As part of the program, Bill was awarded the first Louise Dankberg Award for Community Service, named for dearly missed board member and community leader who passed away in May.
