Penn State Behrend was proud to host the Women in Business event, where high school students had the opportunity to hear from nine inspiring professionals as they shared their personal journeys and advice for young women entering the business world. They also got to hear about real-world applications of business skills from Behrend faculty. The event provided a space for learning, conversation, and connection, allowing for development of real-world insights in a relaxed and engaging setting.

The Black School of Business recently hosted the Empower Her: Women in Business Summit, bringing together female leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to share insights, build connections, and inspire the next generation of businesswomen! Students participated in interactive workshops where they developed essential business skills, including understanding professional attire, résumé building, and interview preparation. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for networking, mentorship, and personal growth.

Marketing professionals from Erie Insurance, including Corporate Marketing Officer Kim Kaercher, visited Behrend for a panel on the realities of the industry and future opportunities and challenges! This event was co-sponsored by the Black School of Business and the American Marketing Association.

Our annual etiquette dinner and networking session was a success! At "May the Fork Be With You", students had the opportunity to learn networking tips and dinner etiquette before putting those skills into practice with industry professionals.
