While YoY overdose deaths were lower in Q1 2024 -- the first drop in four years! -- much work remains to be done. In the United States ??, 294 people die each day from overdose, approximately 12 people per hour. On Thursday, November 21st, Partnership to End Addiction will be hosting a live in person (with virtual option) event organized by Addiction Abatement, Inc., a multidisciplinary collaborative providing guidance, strategies and tools to support all who work to end the opioid and substance use addiction crisis. "United Efforts: Combating the Opioid Crisis and Saving Lives in NYC" will showcase a powerful model for cross-sector partnerships that intersect public health and public safety to reduce overdose deaths.
