In honor of National Book Month ??, we’re excited to spotlight ?? one of our senior clinical director Genevieve Marshall's favorite books: Science and Human Behavior by B.F. Skinner. She emphasizes the significance of this book, saying, “This work introduces behavior analysis as a natural science, much like biology, and is an extension of the theory of selectionism, rooted in Darwinian principles. Originally intended as a textbook for Skinner’s undergraduate courses at Harvard, it ultimately made the principles of behaviorism accessible to the entire world.” She continues to share that “this book serves as an excellent introduction to the field of behavior analysis, providing invaluable insights for anyone involved in the practice of science, especially those working as scientist-practitioners.
